Official Tournament Rules
Sunday, August 16 · 2:00 PM–5:00 PM · Teams of two · $25 per player. Please review these rules before you play.

Match Score
The first team to reach 200 points wins the match.

Tournament Format
The tournament follows a double-elimination format. A team is eliminated after losing two matches.

Teams and Partners
Each team consists of two players. Partners may not be changed after the tournament begins.

No Talking During Play
Players may not speak or communicate with their partners while a hand is in progress. Any violation will result in a 25-point penalty.

Touch-Move Rule
Once a player touches a domino, that domino must be played. A violation will award 50 points to the opposing team, and the hand will restart.

Winner Starts the Next Hand
The player who wins a hand will play first in the following hand.

Blocked Games
If neither team can make another play, each team must add the total number of pips remaining on its dominoes. The team with the lowest combined point total wins the hand.

Tie in a Blocked Game — Pending Confirmation
If both teams have the same combined point total, the team that played the final domino and caused the block will win the hand.

Consistent Handling of Dominoes
Players must handle their dominoes consistently throughout the match. Gestures, unusual movements, or changes in handling that could communicate information to a partner are prohibited.

Match Time Limit — Pending Confirmation
Each match will have a 25-minute time limit. When time expires, the team with the highest score will win the match.

Tie When Time Expires — Pending Confirmation
If both teams have the same score when time expires, one additional hand will be played. The winner of that hand will win the match.

Officials' Decisions
Tournament officials will resolve rule violations, scoring disagreements, and situations not specifically covered by these rules. Their decisions will be final.
